Privacy policy
The short version. ClauseReady has no account or sign-in. The app has no advertising or behavioural tracking. Quiz answers and learning progress stay on your device. Purchase information is processed by the app stores and RevenueCat so access can be granted and restored. Release builds also contact Expo's update service to check for compatible updates.

ClauseReady is published by Skythorn Digital Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under number SC898900, whose registered office is at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AN. Learning data stored on your device
ClauseReady stores the information needed to remember your progress locally on your device. This includes the NEC version you selected, questions attempted, whether answers were correct, review scheduling, topic-level progress, recent sessions and questions you flag for later.
We do not send your question answers or learning progress to our own server, RevenueCat or an advertising service. You can remove this local data using Settings > Reset all progress, or by deleting the app. Your device's own backup service may include app data according to the settings you control with Apple or Google.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes the payment itself. We do not receive your card or bank details. ClauseReady uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, determine whether paid access is active and support restoration of purchases.
The app uses RevenueCat-generated anonymous App User IDs rather than an account or an identifier tied by us to your name or email address. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information and limited technical information needed to operate its service. We do not send RevenueCat your quiz answers or learning progress.
We use this information to provide and restore purchased access and understand purchase performance. Where this is personal data, our principal lawful basis is performance of the purchase contract.
App update checks
ClauseReady uses Expo's update service in release builds. By default, the app checks that service when it launches so that a newer compatible app bundle can be downloaded and applied. This involves the ordinary technical request information needed to deliver the update. The service does not receive your quiz answers or learning progress from ClauseReady.
Website and support
This website uses an optional Google Ads tag to understand visits after someone clicks one of our Google advertisements. We ask for your choice before enabling it; you can accept or reject it in the cookie notice. If you accept, Google may process information such as cookie identifiers, IP address and device or browser information in accordance with its policies. The hosting provider may also process normal server logs, including IP addresses and request information, for security and operation. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include and keep it for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request and related records.
Who receives data
Depending on what you do, relevant recipients may include Apple or Google for store transactions, RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement management, Expo for update checks, Google for optional advertising measurement when you consent, our hosting provider for standard web requests, and our email provider if you contact support. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
International transfers and retention
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, the relevant provider and/or controller uses an applicable adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguard.
Learning progress remains on your device until you reset it or delete the app. Service providers retain information according to their applicable retention rules and legal obligations. We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed.
Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact skythorndigital@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Because ClauseReady has no user account and does not receive your local learning history, we may not hold information that lets us identify a particular installation. For a purchase-related request, we may need a relevant store receipt.
Children
ClauseReady is a professional learning product intended for adults working in construction and engineering. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If the app changes in a way that materially changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated and the date above will change.
